The Why

We want to glorify God by starting a healthy church that makes disciples and reaches the world.

The How

Plant.
Root.
Grow.
Multiply.

Plant | God has seen fit to plant us here for just this time in history.

When we recognize God’s activity and provision in our circumstances it allows us to live with intentionality and freedom, love and purpose. We want to be a church that is joyfully planted in our homes and neighborhoods, our city, region, and state.

Root | We desire to be rooted in Christ.

We affirm Jesus’ statement in John 15 that He is the vine and we are the branches. Apart from the life he provides we can do nothing. This desire to be rooted informs a large part of what we do as a church. It pushes us into the clear, simple study and application of Scripture. It leads us to orient virtually everything around being Christ- centered & Bible-saturated.

Grow |  True growth comes from a reconciled community of believers living face to face and shoulder to shoulder.

A local church is a family of faith. Through faith in Christ, we believe that people are justified, reconciled, and adopted into the family of God.  We want to recognize the way the gospel restores what is broken and that the work of Jesus makes us family. The Oaks Church will gather in all sorts of ways to live out the gospel face to face and shoulder to shoulder. Growing together is one of the many things that makes a healthy local church beautiful.

Multiply |  We want to be both faithful and fruitful.

God has made it very clear that He wants His people to make disciples that make more disciples. This is multiplication. We are excited to celebrate all the ways that God uses The Oaks Church to make more disciples, plant more churches, and be a small part of reaching the world.

“that they shall be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified.” Isaiah 61:3
